ALVA LAMBERT

AMCA Deputy Director

DEPUTY DIRECTOR

A native of Dothan, Alabama, Alva Lambert has been involved in government and politics in his home state for nearly 40 years. He holds degrees from The University of Alabama, Auburn University of Montgomery and The Jones School of Law.

Alva has served in state government in various and diverse capacities, including working for The State House of Representatives, serving as a Deputy District Attorney while he worked for The Office of The Montgomery County District Attorney, and as Executive Assistant to the Governor.

In 1997, Lambert was appointed as Executive Director of The State Health Planning and Development Agency (SHPDA) where he remained for 21 years until his retirement from state government in late 2018.

After leaving SHPDA, Lambert was named Director of Business Development for Alabama for Bernhard Energy. He is glad to be back in the healthcare field, especially as it pertains to helping patients receive new and better courses of care via Alabama’s Medical Cannabis Association.
